There's an ever-increasing number of image editors on the Adobe Air platform and most of them I've tried not only look great, but work pretty well too.
XeIMG Image Editor is no exception, allowing you to add effects and apply filters to photos without any of the complications of Photoshop. Using it couldn't be easier - just load a photo, select the effect you want to apply and you're done. You can open files in all the major formats including JPG, GIF, PNG and SWF, but note that you can only save them in PNG, JPG, BMP and PDF.
The ease of use is the stand-out feature of XeIMG Image Editor but there's no doubt that the features are a bit limited. There are effects to change images to black and white, blur, sharpen, negative and emboss them, and you can preview images as you go along. You can rotate images but frustratingly, you can't crop or resize them.
Ease of use, elegance and simplicity are the hallmarks of XeIMG Image Editor but it definitely lacks more effects and some basic editing options.
XeIMG Image Editor supports the following formats
Open: JPG, GIF, PNG, SWF
Save: PNG, JPG, BMP, PDF
